In my first attempt at a travel video we have chosen K'gari. I am a total rookie at both beach driving and Salt water fishing. After attending the ABT Bass grand final I decided to have a week off and catch up with my 3 older boys. Work commitments stopped Carter from joining us and Jordan had to wait till the weekend so the first few days was just Connor and myself. This is the first of a 6 part series on Fraser/Kgari and you can see all the mistakes we made but the fun made up for it. Of coarse there is the obligatory cooking challenges and banter on whos car is better. I will let you all decide that at the end.

Version 1 of my Custom Canopy build. My objective was to do a canopy build on a budget but still stay under the standard GVM of 3080kg. I did it, only just but with 2 large adults and fully loaded with 60l of water, cloths, food, full fridge, generator, full fuel and everything I would run for a week on the road. Obviously I was able to remove a lot of extra weight for normal comp fishing. I normally only take 10l of water and move some gear to the boat. I will be adding rear AIRbags to help with the extra full time weight. Saving weight at every opportunity was the key, no false floor no marine carpet using Aluminium everywhere I could.
