There comes a time in life when you stop talking about the dream… and you start building it.
At the end of 2026, I’ll be setting off on the biggest adventure of my life I have called it The Great Aussie Fishing Challenge.
A full lap around Australia. One year. Every state. Every iconic fishery. Every lesson the road wants to teach me.
This isn’t just a fishing trip.
It’s the next chapter of Corey’s Dam Fishing.
WHY I’M DOING THIS
Fishing has always been more than catching fish for me. It’s therapy. It’s clarity. It’s where I’ve worked through life’s hardest moments. It’s where I’ve felt most grounded.
One lap. Endless waters. A cause worth fighting for.
Throughout this expedition, I’ll be raising awareness and funds for two causes that hit close to home:
• Men’s Mental Health
• The Heart Foundation
MEN’S MENTAL HEALTH
Too many good men are struggling in silence.
Too many are told to “harden up.”
Too many don’t ask for help.
If this journey can start conversations around campfires, on boats, or in comment sections this is bigger than fishing.
If even one bloke reaches out instead of bottling it up, that matters.
Fishing saved me more times than I can explain. I want this platform to remind men they’re not alone.
THE HEART FOUNDATION
Heart disease impacts families across Australia every single day. Many of us know someone a father, mate, uncle, or friend who has faced heart health battles.
Supporting the Heart Foundation is about backing research, awareness, and education that keeps Aussie hearts beating longer and stronger.
This trip is about life — and protecting it.

From the Top End barra to southern tuna runs, inland rivers to coastal reefs — we’ll fish this country the way it’s meant to be experienced.

Post-trip reports, analytics, reflections, and the next evolution of Corey’s Dam Fishing.
